Dana Pinkama Merits Transfer was held In Memory of Late Mrs Rathnawalie Dep on Monday 26th July 2021. It was a great sucess. We take this opportunity to say thank, we are very grateful for all those who attended, participate to make it a success. We are pleased to make this type of Merits Sharing Pinkama Ceremony to Mrs Rathnawalie who work very hard always.

Funeral Service will take place on Thursday 12th August 2021 at 2PM at Harwood Park Crematorium, Watton Road, Stevenage SG2 8XT. It is with great sadness, we share the news that Mrs Rathnawalie Dep passed away on Friday 16th July 2021 at the age of 85 years.

She was one of the hard working dedicated founder members of Letchworth Dhamma Nikethanaya Buddhist Meditation Centre and contributed in every way to up keep the centre. She served for over 15 years as the Honourable Secretary of the Meditation Centre.
We deeply appreciate her yeoman service to our community for ever.
May she attain Supreme Bliss of Nibbana..!

Special Dana Pinkama Merits Transfer Ceremony will be held on Monday 26th July 2021 at 10.30AM till 2PM at Letchworth Dhamma Nikethanaya Buddhist Meditation Centre.

Mrs Rathnawalie Dep was born on 30th December 1935 in Colombo 10 in Sri Lanka and migrated to United Kingdom in 1995 and since lived in Letchworth with her Husban Mr Andrew Dep who worked for Royal Air Force and two children Daughter Mrs Khushlani & Son Mr Khushil. She passed away on Friday 16th July 2021 at the age of 85 years.

She served as a teacher in Sri Lanka and worked at Gothami Girls’ School in Colombo 10 Sri Lanka.

She was a dedicated found member and a strong supporter from the inception of Letchworth Dhamma Nikethanaya Buddhist Meditation Centre and served as the Honourable Secretary to make it thrives from registration as UK Registered Charity to the current situation.

She worked very hard with temple activities and we all in our community deeply appreciate all of her contribution. She is greatly missed and wish Mrs Rathnawalie Dep A Supreme Bliss of Nibbana.!


Special Dana Transfer Merits Ceremony will take place on Monday 26th July 2021 at 10.30AM till 2PM at Letchworth Dhamma Nikethanaya Buddhist Meditation Centre in her loving memory. Another Special Dhamma Dana Merits Sharing Ceremony was held on Saturday 17th July 2021. Funeral arrangements will be informed later.
