UK Homeless
With a GDP of 2.83 trillion pounds in 2019, the United Kingdom is the 6th largest economy in the world after United States, China, Japan, Germany and India.
The UK has become one of the countries to have the biggest impact from Covid 19 in Europe. Since beginning of the pandemic, the number of recorded cases and the death toll increased rapidly. Whilst the government focused on controlling the virus, the pandemic changed the lives of millions of people and the way they lived in the UK.
The Shelter UK is one of the leading charities in the country for homeless people. They believe that there are around 280,000 homeless people in England according to their 2019 records.
The research indicates that there are many reasons for people becoming homeless.
The major ones are unemployment and poverty. Amongst them we have other reasons such as breakdown of relationships, domestic violence, mental health issues, misuse of alcohol and drugs.
