An invitation to an evening with one of Sri Lanka's most venerated Buddhist monks; Ven. Uduwe Dhammaloka Thero
Friday 18th February 2022 at Friends Meeting House, Hereford - 7.30 pm
You are invited to a rare opportunity to be with one of Sri Lanka's most venerated Buddhists monks. Ven. Dhammaloka Thero is well known for his unique way of transmitting the knowledge of the Buddha as both a philosophy, providing the right view and perception of the world, and as a practical means by which to live a happy and fulfilling life.
He became a monk at age 9, and completed his Bachelor and Masters in Buddhist Philosophy, before gaining popularity for his insightful and inspiring talks on a variety of subjects on life and how to find happiness. As a senior monk with over 40 years as a meditation practitioner, he has travelled around the world representing Sri Lanka in various international Buddhist conferences. He is known for his wisdom and his expression of love and compassion. His teachings are portrayed in a way that are attainable and useful for all, be they Buddhist or not. We welcome all to receive the true gift of meditation and presence from a person that has followed an ancient tradition of discipline and service.
