This mail finds all our devout devotees and friends in Dhamma, are well and happy!
It has been a very difficult time and now we all are coming to some normality. But we all need to be extra causes and stay safe and stay well.
It has been a very busy period at the centre as we did so much for help our community. We are very happy to see that our teachings has changed the lives of many and benefited with lots of health, wellbeing, happiness and peace in everyday life.
We are very grateful to all our members and friends. With your blessings and generous support, we managed to achieve so much.
Now we are expecting to start the most significant spiritual time! Annual Rains Retreat (Vassana Season..)
Therefore, we write this to invite you all to come in person or join Online us at the ceremony to commence this year Annual Rains Retreat Three Months on Saturday 24th July 2021. This day we observe the Esala (July) Full Moon Day and spend chanting the Dhammachakkapavaththana Sutta, Meditation and Blessings Chanting Pooja.
In the evening, at 6.00PM, we chant the sacred “Dhamma Chakka Pavaththana Sutta” ceremonially. This is first discourse delivered by the Blessed One Gauthama The Lord Buddha soon after his enlightenment. This chanting is the most beautiful and powerful in our tradition. We encourage everyone to join us to share the hard blessings. In the history, after this chanting, Monks observe the Annual Three Months Rains Retreat with the invitation from the community.
The Invitation to the Three Months Annual Rains Retreat at Dhamma Nikethanaya will be held at 6PM by the devotees with the principal sponsorship of Mr Nuwan & Mrs Chopana Kadurugamuwa and family.
All are cordially invited to come and participate at this special blessings!
