The Annual Mapiya Vandana Programme 2023
Dear Parents,
We, together with our Dhamma School teachers and parents, have organised the Annual Mapiya Vandana Programme to be conducted on the 19th of February, 2023 from 02.30 pm at the temple premises to offer an opportunity for our children to show their gratitude and concern for their parents for invaluable commitments and dedications they received throughout their life from parents.
We kindly invite you to be present with your children to experience this great opportunity by attending the event physically.
The Programme is as follows

- Observing five precepts
- Welcome Speech and Introduction
- The Special Talk and Discussion with children by
Ven. Wadigala Samitharathana Thero of Oxford University
- Children Offering Pirikara to Maha Sangha to gain merits
- Short speech by a daughter about parents
- Short Speech by a son about parents
- Special event of Venerating the Parents
- Vote of thanks
- Blessings of Maha Sangha for all
