The Promotional evening of the Festival of Cricket 2019, celebrating its 31st anniversary was held on Friday 24th May at the Sri Lankan High Commission in Hyde Park Gardens in London. The event commenced around 6:30 p.m. The FoC committee was honoured by the presence of H.E. the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka Ms. Manisha Gunasekera, Mr. Sugeeshwara Gunaratna, the Deputy High Commissioner, representatives from our Sponsors in the UK, the delegates who were representing Sponsors from Sri Lanka, Chairmen of FOC Sub-Committees, Past Presidents, FoC Committee members and Guests.
The event was commenced by H.E. the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka Ms. Manisha Gunasekera by addressing the gathering followed by the speeches by Festival of Cricket 2019 main sponsors. Finally, then the President of FoC, Mr. Kapila Mallikarachchige delivered a speech by thanking the sponsors for all the support they have extended to FoC 2019 and thanked the Sri Lankan High Commission for fabricating all the necessary arrangements to make the event a success.
The gathering was followed by refreshments and a networking session.
