Peterites Celebrate the Centenary in Style in London

St. Peter’s College Colombo Old Boys Union United Kingdom Branch organised a mega dinner dance to celebrate their Alma Mater’s Momentous year.

“La Bamba Nite 2022”

Over 600 guests were in attendance at The Hilton Hotel T5 on the 17th September.

The chief guest was Rev. Fr. Rohitha Rodrigo who is the Rector of St. Peter’s College Colombo.

Evening started with a Champagne reception at 5.30pm. Guests were serenaded by ever popular Janaka Palapathwala, accompanied by Hiran Wijeratne.

During the main event, we were entertained by a galaxy of stars from our Paradise island namely Sohan Weerasinghe, Stephanie Sirwardhana, Clifford Richards and Dmajor band members Roshila Hettiarachchi and Mahesh Athukorala. House bands were Front line and Solid.

This was the blue ribboned event of the year for the OBU however there were few additions to the calendar to mark this special year.

Celebrations began in January with a Holy Mass and a Champagne Reception at Westminster Cathedral, London.

In April we came together again for Cruise "Peterites-on-Thames".

All the events were extremely successful.
