Mahanama College OBA UK holds its Annual General Meeting for 2023

The Annual General Meeting of the UK branch of the Mahanama College Old
Boys Association was held at the Rising Sun Restaurant Committee room in
Harrow on Sunday the 26th of March 2023.

The event was well attended and outgoing president Mr. Umendra Tillekeratne
reflected on the 2019 success of the Mahanama College presidency of Mr. Kapila
Mallikarachchige to the Festival of Cricket and Covid lockdown time welfare of the
members and their families. And also the success of projects done in Mahanama College Colombo and the
growth of the organization. Also, welcome the new members to the association.
Mr. Laksreen Perera was elected as president for 2023-2024 and 7 member
committee was elected to support the busy calendar of events. Several proposals to
change the constitution were discussed to strengthen the governance process of the
association.

In addition to the general report, an in-depth presentation of the events planned for
this year was presented too.After the AGM, members joined for light refreshments to celebrate the new
committee.
