2022 ඔක්තෝම්බර් මස 09 වන වප් පුර පසළොස්වක පෝහෝ දින ලංඩන් ක්‍රොයිඩන් රෝහලේ දී හදිසියේ නමුත් සිහි නුවන් යුතුව අපවත් වී වදාළ සේක.

Most Venerable Bhikkhu Assaji Maha Thero ‌(1950-2022)
suddenly but very peacefully passed away on Vap Full Moon Poya Sunday 09th October 2022 at London Croydon Hospital.

සම්බුද්ධ ශාසනයට අපරිමිත සේවාවක් සිදුකරමින් වසර 30 කට අධික කාලයක් එංගලන්තයේ වැඩ වාසය කල උගත් සිල්වත් ගුණවත් දක්ෂ යතිවරයාණන් වහන්සේ නමක් වූ අතිගරු ගෝනුල්ලේ අස්සජී ස්වාමින් වහන්සේ 2022 ඔක්තෝම්බර් මස 09 වන වප් පුර පසළොස්වක පොහෝදින ලංඩන් ක්‍රොයිඩන් රෝහලේ දී අපවත් වී වදාලහ. උන් වහන්සේගේ අපවත් වීම අප සියළු දෙනාටමත් සම්බුද්ධ ශාසනයටත් ඉමහත් පාඩුවකි. දෙස් විදෙස් ළමා වැඩිහිටි සැමට ඉංග්‍රිසි සිංහල භාෂාවන් මනාව හසුරුවමින් විශිෂ්ඨ ධර්ම ප්‍රචාරක සේවාවක තම සෞඛ්‍ය තත්වයන් පවා නොතකා නිරත වූ බෝධි සත්ව ගුණ පිරුණ සෑම දෙනාගේම ගෞරවයට පත් පිංවත් ස්වාමින් වහන්සේ නමකි. විවිධ රටවල වැඩ සිටින ස්වාමින් වහන්සේලාට, විහාරස්ථානවලට සහ දායක පිංවතුන්ට නිතර වැඩම කොට හදවතින්ම උපකාර කළහ.

Most Venerable Bhikkhu Assaji Maha Thero ‌(1950-2022) is a very humble, wise, kind, very skilful and highly respected Buddhist Monk who spent over 30 years in UK. He as a senior and educated monk (Bhikkhu) extended a great service to monks, temples and the communities in UK, Sri Lanka and many parts of the world. He spent his whole life very generously in service especially to children, adults and monastics without much attention even to his own health. He is a great, resourceful and active Dhammaduta Bhikkhu (Missionary Monk). It is a great loss to Sambuddha Sasana (Buddhist World) and all of us. We all are indeed indebted to his life and service.

අස්සකෝ ලෝකෝ සබ්බං පහාය ගමනීයං.
මේ ලොව අපට අයිති කිසිවක් නැත. සියල්ල හැරදා යා යුත්තෝ වෙමු.

Assako loko sabbam pahaya gamaniyam.
