Today Highly Blessed Vap Full Moon Poya Day.

On this sacred day, Our Annual Three Months Rainy (Vassana) Retreat Season comes to an end and ushers the Robe Offering (Cheevara Masa) Month.

All are highly encourage to engage in meritorious deeds during this sacred month and cordially invited to Our Annual Kathina Ceremony on Saturday 30th October 2021 from 9AM till 4PM.

අද උතුම් වප් පුර පසළොස්වක පොහෝ දිනයයි

වස්සාන තුන් මාසය මෙම උතුම් පොහෝදිනයෙන් අවසන් වන අතර කඨින සිවුරු පූජා කරණ චීවර මාසය අදින් ආරම්භ වේ.

ඉතා භාග්‍යවන්ත මේ උතුම් පොහෝදිනයේ සහ අදින් ආරම්භ වන පුණ්‍යකාල චීවර මාසය තුල වැඩි වැඩියෙන් පිං දහම් වල නිරත වෙමින් චීවර පූජාවන් සිදු කරගනැනීමට අධිෂ්ඨාන කරගනිමු.

අපගේ වාර්ෂික කඨින චීවර පූජාව 2021 ඔක්තෝම්බර් මස 30 වන සෙනසුරාදා උදෑසන 09 සිට සවස 4 දක්වා පැවැත්වේ. ඒ සදහා සහභාගී වන ලෙස සැමට මෙත් සිතින් ආරාධනා..!

💐 වස්සාන කාලය අවසන් වී කඨින චීවර මාසය ආරම්භ වීම. උපසම්පදා භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේලා විනය ප්‍රඥ්ප්තියකට අනුව පෙර වස් පවාරණය කිරීම.
💐 බුදු රජාණන් වහන්සේ සත්වන වස්කාලය තව්තිසා දෙව් ලොවට වැඩම කොට මාතෘ දිව්‍යපුත්‍රයන් ඇතුළු තාව්තිසා දෙවියන්ට අභිධර්මය දේශනා කොට මාතෘ දිව්‍යපුත්‍රයන් සෝවාන්ඵලයට පමුණුවා නැවත දඔදිව සංකස්ස නුවරට වැඩම කිරීම.
💐 අනුලා දේවිය ඇතුළු කුල කතුන් පැවිදි බිමට පත් කිරීමට සංඝමිත්තා මහ රහත් භික්ෂුණීන් වහන්සේ වැඩම කර ගැනීම පිණිස මහින්ද මහ රහතන් වහන්සේගේ අනුශාසනා පරිදි දෙවනපෑතිස් රජතුමන් විසින් තම ඥාති අරිට්ඨ ඇමැතියන් ප්‍රධාන දූත කණ්ඩායමක් ධර්මාශෝක රජු වෙත පිටත් කර යැවීම.
💐 ප්‍රථම ශ්‍රී ලාංකික භික්ෂුව වන මහා අරිට්ඨ මහ රහතන් වහන්සේ ප්‍රමුඛ භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේලා ථූපාරාමයේ දි ප්‍රථම වරට ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ විනය පිටකය සංගායනා කිරීම මතු බුදුවන මෛත්‍රී බෝධි සත්වයන් වහන්සේ උතුම් ගෞතම බුදු සසුනේ 500 දෙනෙකු සමග පැවිදිවීම
💐 සාරිපුත්ත මහ රහතන් වහන්සේ නුවණැති භික්ෂූන් අතර අගතැන්පත් තනතුරේ පිහිටුවීම.
💐 උතුම් ජය ශ්‍රී මහා බෝධි අංකුරය ලංකාවට වැඩමවීම පිණිස මහා බෝධීන් වහන්සේගෙන් ගැලැවී රන් කටාරමක පිහිටීම.

💐 Vap Poya marks the end of Vassana Season Three Months Rainy Retreat and beginning of Kathina Cheevara (Robe) Offering Month.
💐 Higher Ordained Monks formally ends the retreat by doing a special Vinaya Kamma (Monastic Discipline performance).
💐 Our lord Buddha arrived Sankassa pura by spending the seventh Vassana Season at heavenly abode of Tavatimsa and preached Abhidhamma (Higher Teachings) to Mother Deity (Matru Deva) and other Devas (celestial beings) and made Matru Deva (Mother Deity) attain Sptapanna (Stream enterer).
💐 King Devanampiyatissa sent special delegation headed by one of his close relative Minister Maha Aritta to meet King Dharmasoka and request Bhikkhuni Arahat Sangamitta to send to Sri Lanka to establish the nuns order by giving the opportunity to Queen Anula and many other Sri Lankan women to be ordained.
💐 The Future Buddha, Maitriya Bodhisatva entered the mookhood with a retinue of 500 followers.
💐 First Sri Lankan Monk, Arahat Maha Aritta Thera for the first time, host a special monastic decipline chanting at Thuparamaya in Sri Lanka.
💐 Arahat Sariputta Maha Thera was appointed as Chief Disciple among the wisest.
💐 A sacred sapling of Bodhi Tree was placed in a golden bowl to sent to Sri Lanka.
